Gov. Youngkin Dedicates Culpeper Battlefields State Park

On June 8, Governor Glenn Youngkin officially dedicated Virginia’s newest state park — the Culpeper Battlefields State Park. Initially encompassing 262 acres around Fleetwood Hill at Brandy Station, this marks the Old Dominion’s 43rd state park.

The park will offer visitors 2,200 acres of hallowed ground and includes parts of the four major Civil War battles fought in Culpeper County: Brandy Station, Cedar Mountain, Kelly’s Ford and Rappahannock Station.
